ART SUMMER CAMP

Dear parents, we would like to invite your children to spend the summer holidays in the Art Summer Camp organized by the team of International Music School of Stavanger and Fine Arts Studio
The Art Summer Camp consists of fun and interesting music lessons, gymnastics, art for children and last but not least some well-deserved rest and me-time for the parents! Two enthusiastic professional organizations came together to create an opportunity for children not only to have fun and some activity this summer but also to try out various types of art and sports.
WHICH AGE GROUPS DO YOU HAVE?
3-5 years old
6-7 years old
8-10 years old
Dear parents, we kindly ask you to drop your children off at our Art Summer Camp and not gather in the corridors or classrooms. This is a necessary measure to abide by the latest Corona rules.
WHICH SUBJECTS ARE FEATURED IN THE ART SUMMER CAMP?
The following subjects are featured:
The classes are adapted for all children who wish to attend the Art Summer Camp. Special attention will be paid to the physical development of children of preschool and primary school age. The program includes exercises that help with the creation of a proper posture, the strengthening of the corset muscles, the prevention of flat feet condition, the development of coordination and flexibility, the development of dexterity and faster reaction time, the improvement of motor skills, visual memory, the development of a sense of rhythm and plasticity.

During the art lessons, the children will complete wonderful summer artworks, learn different techniques and try different materials to create visual images. The art classes don’t only help to develop drawing/painting skills but also contribute to the development of a child’s mind, imagination, creativity, and fine motor skills. The lessons are specifically designed by a professional art teacher to be age-appropriate for all children.

Baby singing classes are divided into age groups and differ in levels of difficulty.
The classes consist of:
-singing greetings and farewells
-kid’s musical instruments playing
-development of a good ear for music and rhythm
-music playing and listening
-finger and musical games
-musical literacy (for the kids from 3 years of age)
-observation of symphony orchestra instruments (for the kids from 4 years of age)
WHAT IS THE PRICE?
4 weeks of attendance (one day per week-Saturdays) cost 2050 NOK
HOW DO I REGISTER MY CHILD/CHILDREN FOR THE ART SUMMER CAMP?
All you have to do is Register for a class
When you register for the Art Summer Camp you have 7 days from that date to cancel the registration and get the money back, provided that there are more than 14 days left before the Art Summer Camp begins. If it’s 14 or fewer days left before the Art Summer Camp starts, the tuition fee is non-refundable. When you register for the Art Summer Camp and sign the contract you receive an invoice, it must be paid within 5 days. If it’s 5 or fewer days left before the Art Summer Camp the invoice must be paid on the day it is received.

HOW SHALL WE DRESS THE CHILDREN AND WHAT TO BRING?
Only sports clothing is required (white socks,a tight-fitting T-shirt /a T-shirt /a long sleeve, comfortable bottoms like leggings/sports trousers)
Comfortable clothing that you won’t regret getting some paint on.

IS THERE A PARKING PLACE?
There is free parking for 1 hour at the building’s entrance along the road.
There are paid parking spots on Nedre Banegate Street.
Daryna was born in Ukraine and began her musical studies at the age of seven. She finished her bachelor’s program at the Kharkiv National Kotlyarevsky University of Arts where she studied with the (famous)professor Suren Kocharyan.
Now she continues her Master’s Degree at the University of Stavanger. Daryna plays on a viola made for her by Ukrainian modern master Andrew Golybokie. Daryna has appeared as a soloist, chamber musician, and music teacher. She has years of experience working with young students and organized her violin ensemble. They participated in various children’s competitions and gave concerts in the cities of Ukraine. She was a founding member of the Capriccio quartet (2011-2018) The quartet worked for numerous cruise ship companies and played concerts in various concert halls in the cities of America and Europe.
Daryna has a keen interest in orchestral playing. Her recent orchestral experience includes working with Kharkiv Youth Orchestra, Kharkiv Opera House Orchestra, Kyiv Radio Orchestra, and Kharkiv Academic Theatre of Musical Comedy. Currently, she is most passionate about getting young classical musicians off the page to activate their own creativity, improvise, and support their passion(love) for music. We are so proud to have her as our Baby Singing teacher for ART SUMMER CAMP!
Liubov began her studies at the music school of art in 2004 and graduated from music school in 2009 with a degree in accordion. During this time, she studied for an additional musical instrument “Domra” in the orchestra.
She also took courses in the following subjects: “Solfeggio”, “Musical Literature”, and “Choral Class”.
She has pedagogical education and teaching experience with children.
Anya comes from the sunny city of Odessa, where she studied Fine Arts in the State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Anya has been drawing since early childhood. She expresses her love for the world around us through painting with watercolors, acrylics, and oil paint. The desire to inspire and awaken her love for art led her to work in art studios and study various approaches to artistic and educational activities. Anya believes that children hold a huge potential inside them, which can be revealed through music, movement, and the visual arts. That is why an empathetic and knowledgeable teacher is the key to the door of their creativity.
Ksenia has been doing rhythmic gymnastics and dancing since early childhood. She has worked with children from 2 to 14 years of age in different countries: China, Russia, Norway. She was engaged in staging concerts and organized performances. Back in Russia Ksenia founded a school where children mastered acting, stage speech, and the basics of journalism. The teaching experience, creativity, and a positive attitude help Ksenia to find a good approach to each child.
Anna is a professional art teacher and the founder of the art school Fine Arts Studio and the language school Smart Panda. She has 3 master’s degrees in Linguistics, Pedagogy, and Social Work. She graduated from an art school in Russia. Anna has many years of experience as a teacher for both children and adults. In 2015 Anna has established her own practice, has developed project-based programs for children and adults to learn how to draw and paint and appreciate art. Anna is one of the organizers and is providing a custom-made art program for the Art Summer Camp. She is proud that the Fine Arts Studio and Smart Panda’s team members Anna Kuzik and Ksenia Sytaia are joining this fantastic project.
Iana started playing piano at the age of 5. She won her first prize at the Young Pianist competition at age of 8. By the age of 16, she became a regular participant of the international workshops and a laureate of the international and national competitions in Moldova, Ukraine, and Romania. From 2008 to 2011 Iana participated in a student exchange program, and in 2011 she won a scholarship for talented musicians at the Music Conservatory in Laramie, Wyoming, USA. In 2012 Iana received a master’s degree in instrumental performance in piano from the Academy of Music, Theater, and Fine Arts in Chisinau, Moldova. Subsequently, she continued her education with a master’s degree and postgraduate at the University of Stavanger, the faculty of instrumental performance. In 2018 Iana graduated from Organ studies. In 2015 Iana founded the International Music School of Stavanger and since then has been its leader and a music teacher. Iana is one of the Art Summer Camp organizers and has made a special music program for it. She is proud that the talented music teachers of her school Daryna Lishchecnko and Luba Dzenisenka are joining the Art Summer Camp.
